Mangalore, Nov 9: The muhurat of Konkani drama ‘Chukon Gelli Sheli’ by playwright and director John M Permannur was held at Dirvem Konkani weekly hall, here on Monday November 8.
Paul Moras, state president of Konkani Writers’ Forum and Fr Francis Rodrigues, editor of Raknno, were the chief guests on the occasion.
John Monis, editor of Dirvem Konkani weekly presented a copy of drama to the playwright John M Permannur. He explained the social messages depicted in drama ‘Chokon Gelli Sheli.’ Monis sought the co-operation of stage artistes and support of Konkani play enthusiasts in staging the drama.
Paul Moras presented the copies of drama to other stage artistes. Fr Francis Rodrigues conducted a prayer service and blessed the stage artistes. Santhu Omzoor, sub-editor of Dirvem Konkani weekly compered the programme.
