Udupi, Nov 9: Padma Bhushan Dr B M Hegde, was felicitated by the people of his native place, Hiriyadka, on his being conferred the ‘Padma Bhushan’ honour by the union government, on Monday November 8.
Speaking at the function organized at Devadiga Bhavan there, Dr Hegde spoke about the research being undertaken at the global level on easy healing techniques for various ailments. Hegde is one among a team of 15 scientists, many of them Nobel laureates, working under the World Academy of Healing Sciences. He explained in his address that the proposed techniques of healing include using of solar power, silver cells, a small machine that can quickly heal a wound etc.
He said that a committee of six eminent personalities including himself had earlier submitted a report recommending for a thorough change in the sectors of medicine and education, to the Prime Minister. As that report had been ignored, the same has been sent afresh, as requested again, he disclosed.
He felt that conducting of medical research in hospitals is not right. “It should be conducted among the society, as only one among hundreds of people suffering from similar symptoms comes to hospital. He expressed his opposition to the rampant commercialization of medical treatment in the country.
He also spoke about the photon light emanating from everyone’s body, which is conducive to the photon lights of some, but not receptive to the photon lights of others. He explained that because of the different ranges of this light, people do not like some others for no specific reason.
Lokayukta, Justice N Santosh Hegde, asserted that the only way to get satisfaction out of life is to work hard within the framework of law. He lamented the fact that lust for money has been eroding the quality of ethics everywhere.
Alva’s Education Foundation chairman, Dr M Mohan Alva, veteran journalist, Dr M V Kamath, and ‘Taranga’ Kannada weekly executive editor, Sandhya Pai, participated as chief guests. While Justice Hegde felicitated Dr B M Hegde, Sandhya Pai honoured Malati M Hegde. A number of dignitaries and leaders were present at the function.
