Bantwal, Oct 29: After Kerala court directed Kerala government to register a separate case in Karnataka’s police station limits on the sexual assault of minor girl, Vittal police have registered a separate case and started the investigation.
A year ago, a case was registered against Deekshith (23), a resident of Pavoor in Manjeshwar for sexually assaulting a girl. It is said that a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in March 2020. A week after the incident, the victim's brother filed a police complaint through the Child Line at Manjeshwar police station. During the inquiry, it is learnt that the girl was also sexually assaulted in Karopady village on March 29, 2020.
Hence, in this regard, the Kerala court directed the Kerala government to register a separate case. So, the Kerala government wrote to the Karnataka government. Hence, the office of director in-general of police asked Vittal police to register a case on October 29.
