Kundapur, Oct 23: State higher education minister C N Ashwath Narayan inspected the upgradation of ITIs to international standards, a joint venture with the Tata Industries at Byndoor Government ITI College premises here on Saturday.
“It is a matter of pride for us that an ITI of global standards is getting ready in the village area of Byndoor. It is being constructed at Industry 4.0 standards. We are starting 11 new courses there of which six are of one year duration, five of two-year duration apart from 23 new programmes. These are programmes that are in great demand in all the sectors. All the students should be able to find jobs with this when new business ventures come up here. All the necessary training will be provided here to find jobs in any part of the world. Students will have a bright future with the quality of education provided here,” he said.
Engineer irks minister
Meanwhile, the minister was upset with the engineer consider when the latter failed to provide necessary details of the construction on the spot. He directed the engineer to complete the work in a systematic manner as per the plan within the deadline. He asserted that there should be no lapses in the execution of this project.
Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty, tahsildar Shobhalaxmi H S, Byndoor ITI College principal Jagadish and others were present.
