Kundapur, Oct 23: “A new programme titled ‘Udyog’ in the participation of the government and Tata Technologies will begin from November 1. The admissions have already begun. There are six courses of one year each, five courses of two years each and 22 short term courses under it. The technical education institutes in Karnataka are upgraded now. All of our institutes here are identified as of GTDC repute. There are substantial improvements in our polytechnic and diploma courses when compared to other states. There are bright futures for students who study here. Our state is quickly going ahead in the progress of invention, technology and education,” said Karnataka minister of science and technology, higher education, IT BT, skill development, entrepreneurship and livelihood, Dr Ashwath Narayan C N. He was speaking to the reporters in the side-lines of a private programme at Koteshwar Yuva Meridian hall on October 23.

He said that there are plans for a medical college in Udupi in the public private partnership. “The government will provide cooperation to the private medical colleges that are coming up. The state is in fifth spot with first dose Covid vaccinations of 85%. It is in the first place with 45% in the second dose,” he said.
