Koppal, Oct 14: Joining the debate about the relevance of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), former Karnataka chief minister Jagadish Shettar, has supported it. He stressed the need for the existence of RSS.
Speaking here on Wednesday October 13, Shettar compared RSS to a huge banyan tree. "Former chief ministers, Siddaramaiah and H D Kumaraswamy have been vying with each other in passing criticisms about the RSS. He said that this will harm these people themselves. He challenged these two leaders to reveal whether they are in favour of the Taliban or against it.
He compared the comment made by Kumaraswamy about RSS to a hit and run case. "Kumaraswamy has always behaved this way. He says something initially and then confesses about him being wrong. Shettar stressed that if RSS is not in existence, at least four to five Pakistans would have been born.
