Udupi, Oct 13: Chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai speaking on Covid vaccination to children, said on Wednesday October 13, “We are awaiting certification from the union government's competent authority for the commercialisation.”
He further said, “The government has already completed 82% of the first dose of vaccination and 36-37% second dose of vaccination in the state.
“The government is thinking to complete 90% of first doses and 70% of second doses by December. It is the responsibility of all to protect children. Hence, the government will take necessary measures. We will take appropriate measures after the final decision,” he said.
Speaking on bringing anti-conversion law in the state, the CM said, "The government has already passed Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act. We are thinking over bringing an anti-conversion law. We are studying acts implemented in various other states. We will do all efforts to implement the law.”
