Bengaluru, Oct 12: Women entrepreneurs will get all the assistance from the State Government to compete and excel in the business, promised Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani in Bengaluru on Tuesday.
Interacting with a delegation of UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations, ‘Kaigarika Adalat’ at Bengaluru Palace, the minister assured government support and encouragement to the women entrepreneurs
Releasing a brochure on the upcoming event ‘Together We Grow’ which will be held on the occasion of International Women Entrepreneurship Day on November 18, Nirani said the state government is committed to help women entrepreneurs.
“We will encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among the women and extend cooperation and support by providing necessary guidance and assistance to women entrepreneurs. We believe that empowering our women is like empowering our society. And I am glad to note that many women in our state are turning successful entrepreneurs and providing jobs to many particularly women,” Nirani said.
Former Chief Secretary K Ratnaprabha, President of UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations had recently met Murugesh Nirani and discussed issues related to women entrepreneurs.
They plan to hold ‘Together We Grow’ event on the occasion of International Women Entrepreneurship Day on November 18, 2021 at Hotel Lalit Ashok here.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will inaugurate the event which is aimed at connecting more than 30 plus associations and their 13,000 members to nurture women entrepreneurs.
The event is also aimed at providing a platform for budding women entrepreneurs to meet and interact with successful entrepreneurs so that they can get inspired and get valuable information and guidance to succeed in business.
Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani, Bidyut Behari Swain, Secretary, MSME, Government of India and other dignitaries will attend the event.
Around 400 successful women entrepreneurs from 7 states, industry experts, mentors and market leaders are expected to take part in the ‘Together We Grow’ event.
Praising the UBUNTU Consortium of Women Entrepreneurs Associations for its role in promoting women entrepreneurship and aiding women self-help groups, Nirani said the State offers excellent opportunities.
“I applaud UBUNTU headed by Ratnaprabha for encouraging the spirit of entrepreneurship among the women and helping them achieve success. Karnataka offers excellent opportunities for women entrepreneurs and we are here to encourage and help them. Our government gives many concessions including subsidies and incentives to promote industries. We are committed to assist women entrepreneurs in every possible manner,” the minister assured.
