“Power generation has been hit by acute shortage of coal. As this is monsoon, there is a deficit of coal in the mines. This problem persists from the past 10 to 15 days. This morning, I spoke to the union minister. Coal will be supplied from Odisha and Maharashtra. Within four to five days, the problem will be sorted out. I have held a meeting with senior officials. People need not panic on this issue. In Ballari and Raichur, small problems have been reported. We will supply coal very soon to those places. I will talk to the union minister again. The chief minister is on a Delhi tour and in this regard he will act as required.”
Speaking on terrorism activities in Kashmir, he said, "We had assumed such incidents to take place soon after the crisis in Afghanistan. As Narendra Modi's government is ruling the country, major tragedies have been controlled. Terrorists cannot hide in big numbers due to fear. There is no pardon for such incidents. The union government and the Indian Army have taken complete control of the situation. A few people are creating such violence in the place which was calm. In future, the union government will curtail such incidents.”
