Kaup, Oct 7: The sound of an unknown person walking about inside the tug and strange sound emanating from it have made two Padubidri youth fearful. This is happening in the tug which had been a victim of cyclone and then safely kept on the seashore at Kadipatna near Padubidri.
People visiting the seashore often click selfies in front of the tug. Photographers can also be seen creating themes and profiles of couples.
On Tuesday evening, two youngsters from Padubidri were creating video by using their mobile phones. At that time, it suddenly felt that someone was moving about inside the tug. The youth who was standing next to the tug was terrified. He went to the man creating the video and narrated his experience. He dismissed this as a figment of imagination. However, when he was clicking the photo of another person by standing on a boulder a little distance away, he too felt that someone was moving in the tug.
Before that, two persons who were watching a dead fish that was lying on the sand on the beach said they heard someone calling out from the tug.
When the tug met with a disaster due to the cyclone, there were eight persons in it. Out of them, three had gone missing. The bodies of two persons were found during the search operation. The other body remains untraced. Therefore some have mooted the theory that it could be the dead man's spirit. Some people are seen climbing the tug even though there is a board against such adventures. At the same time, this has also given rise to suspicions.
