Mangaluru, Oct 7: It is reported that some Bajrang Dal activists, who saw that a couple was behaving in a vulgar way near St Agnes College in the city on the night of Wednesday October 6, advised the couple to behave properly in public place, before handing them over to the police.
However, it is said that the couple, after reaching Kadri police station, registered a complaint, claiming that the Bajrang Dal activists who escorted them to the police station had assaulted them. Based on the complaint, the police, on Wednesday night, arrested two Bajrang Dal activists.

The accused are identified as Jayaprakash and Pruthvi. Both are daily wage workers. Case under sections 153A, 341, 504,323, 506 and 34 are registered against the duo.
Reportedly,, the arrested Bajrang Dal activists expressed anger at the way the policemen registered case against them, although they had just handed over a couple who were behaving obscenely in public.
Police sources informed that one among two boys, who were speaking to three girls, was manhandled by the activists. The two arrested accused have been produced to the court.
