Mangaluru/Udupi, Oct 3: Full time physical classes for students from 6th to 10th grade will begin from Monday, October 4 in the twin districts after a gap of around one year and nine months.
Due to Covid pandemic, classes were being held only till afternoon or in the afternoon session. In the order that is released by the government, the educational institutions are directed to hold classes under Covid guidelines.
Manjunatha Revankar, vice president of unaided private schools of Karnataka said that it is really convenient for school administrative committee, students and teaching staff if the classes are held full time. He also said that it was very much needed for the well being of students.

Malleswamy and N H Nagoora, DDPIs of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts said, “We have received orders from the government to start schools full time. Decision is taken to start the classes after taking permission from deputy commissioner. There is a possibility that official order will be given to start classes for students from grade 1 to 5 and also providing afternoon lunch under ‘Bisiyoota’ scheme.
