Panaji: Police arrest accused in Kolkata, who was involved in assaulting a 54 year old man

Panaji, Oct 2: Gajanan Pawar the accused, was on the run for several days, was arrested by Old Goa police in connection with the death of Joseph Dias (54). Dias died about ten days ago after he was allegedly assaulted by Pawar at a supermarket in Old Goa, over an argument for jumping the queue.

Pawar who was released from police custody was untraceable, but the police were tracking his phone location, and on Friday he was arrested by the police in Kolkata.

Pawar has been charged for murder under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, said PI Dattaram Raut.
