Mangaluru, Oct 1: Manel Srinivas Nayak Institute of Management (MSNIM) organized a two-day workshop on ‘Interview Readiness’ for its final year MBA students on September 27 and 28 at the institute campus at Bondel. Mohan Kumar, practice head of Wipro Limited, was the chief resource person for the workshop, which was held under the auspices of the institute’s placement cell. The objective of the workshop was to emphasize on building self-esteem, employability skills, job search techniques, career exploration, making resumes, facing job interviews and job success skills which help to obtain and sustain employment.
Mohan Kumar, along with the institute’s placement team, inaugurated the placement week by lighting the lamp. During the workshop, the resource person, Mohan Kumar gave an overview of the industry and outlined the various steps in the placement process. The students were informed about the career opportunities for MBAs in Human Resource, Marketing and Finance streams.
The participants were formed into various groups and given practical group discussion sessions on a variety of current themes. Kumar perused each participant's CV and offered advice on how to write professional resumes. He also advised the students on how to improve their Linkedin profiles. Mock interviews and tests were held in Human Resource, Marketing, and Finance to sharpen the students’ skills.
Prof Muddassir Khadar welcomed and introduced the resource person. Prof Divya Shetty gave a vote of thanks. Prof Ridhvika Shetty anchored the programme.
