Mangalore, Oct 20: The district BJP unit staged a protest against Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress parties in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here on Wednesday October 20.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Yogish Bhat said that JD(S) and Congress have joined hands and conspired to bring down the people-elected majority government. The ongoing drama is the third attempt by the two frustrated parties. The people of the state have observed and felt the developmental works done by the Yeddyurappa-led government in the past two-and-a-half years. Hence BJP will emerge as the winning party in the third test too, he asserted.
He added that opposition parties are frustrated by the working style of the BJP government and that they are not able to tolerate the blessings of voters during the last by-poll elections in Bidar, Gulbarga and Kadur where Congress was cornered completely. Congress does not have a future, he added.
He also said that Congress is the ‘Suthradhari’ and JD(S) is the ‘Paathradhari’ behind all these political drama.
He said that Siddaramaiah and Revanna dream of becoming chief minister and deputy chief minister of the state without the support of people. Siddaramaiah crossed the limit of human behaviour when he kicked the door of Vidhana Soudha with this foot, he said.
He also hoped that the government will complete its full term.
Sulochana Bhat, state vice-president of BJP, addressing the protestors said that ‘gundaism’ done by the Congress and JD(S) leaders will receive appropriate answer from the voters in the future.
BJP district president, Padmanabha Kottary, BJP leader Jagadeesh Adhikari and Shrikar Prabhu among others were present.
