Kasargod, Oct 20: Marathi Samrakshana Samiti contestant Bhaskar (45) and his supporters who were on an election campaign were allegedly assaulted by the CPM activists in Delampady. The injured have been admitted in a hospital in the town.

T Narayana (58), N Chandra (28), Vijay Kumar (22), M Sridhar (38), K Balakrishna (30), Janardan (35), Harish (30) and Y Vijaya (25) are among the injured during a campaign at Pallanji, 9th ward of Delampady.

The injured have alleged that there were assaulted by 60 CPM activists. Acting on a tip-off, the police sprung into action.
