Bengaluru, Sep 28: In an effort to encourage budding entrepreneurs, the Large and Medium Industries Department is planning to start a unique ‘Entrepreneurship Workshop and Kaigarika Adalat’ scheme in Bengaluru on October 11 and 12.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai will launch the Entrepreneurship Workshop on October 11 while the Kaigarika Adalat will be held on October 12. Both the events will be held at Bangalore Palace Grounds.
The decision was taken on Tuesday in a meeting chaired by Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani with the industrial bodies from Bengaluru revenue division.
Industrialists from Bengaluru revenue division from the districts of Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Ramanagara, Bengaluru urban and Bengaluru rural will attend the meeting.
College students will attend the symposium on entrepreneurship on the first day. Industrialists K Radhakrishna, Zerodha Nitin, Nikil Kamath and others will be invited to give lectures and guidance. More than 10,000 people from the Bengaluru revenue division are expected to take part.
Nirani said Kaigarika Adalats will be held in six divisions across the State.
“Applications have been invited for Kaigarika Adalat by classifying districts. We will try to address the grievances of the industrialists and other stakeholders on the spot. Government is committed to provide necessary infrastructure to industries. I will hold a meeting with the Energy Minister over power demand. It’s our duty to provide power, water and land to industries. We want more industries to come here and create more jobs,” Nirani said.
