Udupi, Sep 22: Developing city like Mulki needs the cooperation of associations, organizations and it should develop organizationaly. All engineers should join hands for the overall development of Mulki with the slogan 'Green Mulki- Clean Mulki', said Jeevan K Shetty, administrative director, Sharada Infra-design Mulki-Karnad at Karnadu Rotary Shatabdi Bhavan Mulki.
Shetty was speaking after the inauguration of Engineers Day and Independence special programme, organized by Rotary Club. G Amin, president of Mulki Rotary club presided over the programme and welcomed the gathering.
Retired PWD engineer Sitaram Achar recognized and honoured with the collaboration of Sharada Infra-design Mulki. Engineers from Mulki were also felicitated in the same occasion.
Competitions like singing devotional songs and speech were held. Thokuru Yuvaka Sangha, Mahila Mandali, Rotary Community squad distributed prizes for the winners.
Arun Bhandhary, assistant governor, Rotary Zone-1 conveyed good wishes for the programme. Community director Abbas Ali read the felicitation letter. Director of various programmes JC Salian read the winners list.
Coordinator Narendra Kerekadu read the list of prize winners of Independence Day sports meet. Former president Raja Pathravo compered the programme, secretary Ravichandra proposed a vote of thanks.
