Bengaluru, Sep 21: Fr Vineeth George CMF, a Catholic priest belonging to the Bangalore province of the Claretian Congregation has won the four-month long inter-chapter talent hunt for the best speaker, organised by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI).
Fr Vineeth was declared the winner by a 12-member jury comprising top PR and communications professionals of India. He was presented the trophy and citation during the 15th edition of the World Communication Conclave held at Goa during September 18-19, which was graced by Sreedharan Pillai, the Governor of Goa; Dr Pramod Sawant, the Chief Minister of Goa and Govid Gaude, the Cultural Minister of Goa.
Established in 2004, the Public Relations Council of India is an apex body of Public Relations and communications professionals of India, having 50 chapters across the country.
Fr Vineeth, who represented the Hyderabad chapter, is currently pursuing his doctoral studies from IIT Hyderabad. He is a gold medalist post graduate in public relations and has worked in the past in top corporate houses such as Dell Computers, General Electric, Deccan Chronicle and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd in various capacities.
