Kundapur, Sep 1: “Highest amount is being released for various development projects for Byndoor that has remained backward. But the implementations of the projects remain behind as the speed of the work by the officials is slow,” said MP B Y Raghavendra.
He was speaking in the progress review meeting held at Byndoor on Wednesday. He took some of the officials to task and warned them.
“Approval process of 94C land in the revenue department is at final stages. Deemed forest land cannot be approved. The title deed changes are delayed due to scarcity of surveyors. A list of estimated expenses is prepared for use of funds for roads. Tender is called for the second stage of works for Maravanthe port,” he said.
“Land should be identified for Textile park, complex for manufacture of furniture, sports complex, court, playground and residential school. Mookambika sanctuary, Marina, Beaach walk, garden etc are expected. The officials should prepare for them. A person has come forward to invest for a medical college but land should be identified for it. Funds will be released for projects that are found necessary,” he said.
Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary who paid a surprise visit in the meeting said that the progress in the revenue department is not sufficient. PWD chief engineer Kantaraj said that a list of estimated expenditure for various roads is ready and the works will begin soon.
Tahsildar Shobhalakshmi welcomed. Kundapur sub divisional officer Raju K, Kundapur tahsildar Kiran Gorayya, fisheries department engineer Ganesh, state project committee member Priyadarshini and BJP block president Deepak Kumar Shetty were present.
