Bengaluru, Aug 28: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Saturday asserted that the State Government was committed to work for the growth and progress of Kannada language and take all steps to protect the interests of the State and of Kannadigas.
Virtually inaugurating the 6th World Kannada Conference organised by the North American Vishwa Kannada Kannada Sangha (NAVIKA), the Chief Minister said the State Government is doing its best to protect the interests of Kannadiagas in the State and all over the world.
Kannada language and its culture as well as literature, arts and music have a distinct place and recognition, he said pointing out that Kannadigas were one wherever they are.
The Chief Minister expressed his best wishes for the three day world Kannada conference.
