Kasargod, Sep 22: State director general of police Jacob Punnoose, has said that the department officials have been instructed to arrange for tight police vigil in the communally sensitive areas in the state, including Kasargod district. He clarified that no meetings, processions etc., will be allowed to be held in the name of the High Court verdict relating to Ayodhya dispute.
Prohibitory orders are expected to be issued in Kasargod, Kannur and Kozhikode districts. Passengers and their luggage will be subjected to detailed inspection. If any disturbances occur, services of the Rapid Action Force will be sought to control the situation, the police department said.
It is said that video clips, which project Sangh Parivar activists as killing others in an inhuman way, are being circulated in the district. Such clips, which get added normally when memory cards are given to computer centres for downloading videos and photos, later get transferred through blue tooth, it is said. A few clips also are said to justify the incident in which a palm of a Newman College lecturer was chopped.
