On the weekend curfew, he said, “In order to control the pandemic, we should follow the guidelines. Our positivity rate is increasing which will put us in danger of imposing lockdown. There will be no restrictions for the upcoming festivals, but it should be conducted by following Covid guidelines.
When asked about his desire to be the Rural Development minister, he said, “It is not wrong to have a desire to be the Rural Development minister. The portfolio has been given to our senior leader K S Eshwarappa and we will support him.”
On the issue of people who have taken two doses of vaccine not allowed to enter the state, he said, “We are not targeting Kerala or Maharashtra. As there are high number of cases reported in the neighbouring state, we should take preventive measure to control the pandemic. People with two doses will have immunity power and have less chances to get affected, but there are chances of them being the carriers. So we have to take preventive measures.”
