Bengaluru, Aug 7: Disgruntled MLAs of BJP, who did not get minister positions held a meeting under the leadership of former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi.
It is said that migrant MLAs Sreemantha Patil, Mahesh Kumatalli, MLC Raju Gowda, Aravinda Bellad and former minister Pratap Gowda Patil had discussion at the residence of Ramesh Jarkiholi on the late night of August 5 about their future political move.
It is learnt that Mahesh Kumatalli and Sreemantha Patil have urged Ramesh Jarkiholi to provide them justice as they resigned from their parties and join BJP giving respect to his request. They have urged Ramesh to put pressure on the chief minister to give them minister positions of portfolios that are vacant. It is said that they have threatened of resignation if their demands are not met.
R Shankar is also disappointed on the treatment meted out to him by the BJP leaders and urged Ramesh to take up the issue with top brasses of the party. Root BJP MLAs Aravind Bellad and Raju Gowda have also expressed their anger against the state and central BJP leadership.
According to sources, Bommai is aware of the meeting held by the disgruntled MLAs and has called them for a discussion. However, the rebels have decided to hold one more meeting among themselves before approaching the chief minister. That is why they did not meet him on Friday August 6.
