Bantwal, Aug 4: Police teams led by Vittal police station inspector arrested three people for trying to break in into Agricultural Service Cooperative Society (ASCS) in Pervuvai.

The arrested accused are identified as Althaf Hussain (29), a resident of Anemahal in Sakleshpur, at present residing at Hunasekatte of Thanirupatha village, Beltangady; Mohammed Asif (22), a resident of Kulagarahalli of Belur Road in Sakleshpur and Maruthi (20), a resident of Anamahal in Sakleshpur.

It is said that the accused made desperate efforts to steal valuable things from the cooperative society. In this regard, ASCS president Shekar Poojary had filed a complaint in Vittal police station.

Police arrested the accused on Mani Road while they were travelling on a bike. When the police inquired about the trio, the incident came to light. Police have seized an iron cutting machine, hammer and a bike used for the offence and produced all three before the court. The court ordered judicial custody of the accused.

The operation to arrest the accused was undertaken under the guidance of superintendent of police, DySP, circle inspector Nagaraj HE, SI Sandeep Kumar Shetty, probationary PSI Manjunath T, staff Jayarak KT, Prasanna Kumar , Prathap Reddy, Hemaraj, Vinayak and others.
