Mangaluru: Lockdown will be imposed again if Covid cases spike: DC

Daijiworld Media Network –Mangaluru (DV)

Mangaluru, Jul 31: Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner (DC) Dr Rajendra KV on Saturday July 31 said, "Lockdown will be imposed in the district if the number of Covid-19 cases spike. Thus, people should strictly adhere to the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, by wearing masks, maintaining social distance and giving attention to hygiene."

Speaking to Daijiworld, the DC said, “Imposing weekend curfew too will be necessary. So, the public should strictly adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines."

"The state government has directed that the deputy commissioners should take responsibility to check the spread of Covid cases. Due to the pandemic, people from all sections have faced financial uncertainty. If the public does not want complete lockdown, they should cooperate with the district administration. If the people do not adhere to the Covid-19 guidelines, a situation may arise of imposing complete lockdown. The district administration is putting its maximum efforts to check the spread of the virus."

“After a discussion with the elected representatives, we have increased the testing capacity. As of now, we are conducting 7,000 to 9,000 Covid tests. In the first wave, about 2,000 to 3,000 tests were conducted. We have planned to hold 10,000 to 12,000 tests. Lockdown will be imposed, if the public shows negligent behaviour in following Covid-19 guidelines. Our concern is not to impose a lockdown but the public should cooperate with us."

“We are thinking not to allow the public to celebrate Nagarapanchami and Ganesh Chaturthi in public places and in mass gatherings. Decisions will be taken in meetings held along with elected representatives. The public can celebrate festivals at their homes. In the next meeting, a decision will be taken of allowing only 50 people in marriages. If people gather in huge numbers, the district administration will take strict action,” he said.

The DC also said that as per the guidelines of the state government, people coming from the bordering state or from Kerala, will be only allowed with RT-PCR negative report. He said, “We have directed the same to the railway officials. Health workers will also examine the commuters. We are thinking of restricting inter-state travel. We will take some of the prominent decisions in the meeting to come up. We are thinking of providing passes to those who travel on a daily basis and they will be examined once in a week.

"The district administration is seriously thinking about restricting inter-district travelling. For the past two days, the positivity rate is about 5.76 to 5.11%. A week ago, the positivity rate was about 4.6%. If the positivity rate increases above 5%, strict measures will be taken. People should follow all protocols strictly,” he said.

Before imposing lockdown please ensure tests are genuine and accurate. 60 % of the test results are either inaccurate or fake. Even those who have common cold test positive since flu is also caused by a virus. Conducting tests has become a booming business in the midst of hardships.

@ Sunil, Ha ha true their study books were based on False Germ Theory sponsored by pharma industries who fund most of the research in medical fields who doesn't want to continue any research that doesn't bring in windfall of profits and they hide the research reports that heal people but they can't make money as they can't patent natural cures etc. Medical mafia is alive since 8 decades who had eliminated many alternative medicine practitioners, had hounded them out of practice by confiscating their files records and stopping them from continuing to treat people whom the alopathy had said in their last stage etc. People only can stop these illegal orders and mafias.

CM announces 1 crore vaccines coming to Karnataka. DC announces lockdowns will be reimposed if situation gets out of hand. You can see the 8reason why? Marketing of vaccines won't pick up unless you continue the fear based on fake tests and asymptomatic considered as inflected. Delta variant is so docile you can see 95% are asymptomatic and nobody needs hospitalization. Kill Gates will be very pleased India is implementing his hidden agenda in Toto.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry reading comments from people with MBBS designation tagged after their names calling for defeating the Corona virus. Granted the ministers and their supreme leader are uneducated and lack better judgement but I expect better from the educated class. When mankind has not found a cure for the simple common cold virus haunting the civilisation for centuries, what gives you the idea that Covid virus can be defeated? And the DC threatening people with lockdowns only shows cowardice rather than taking some proper steps to manage the issue while life goes on.

Correct ! These Western liberal elites and communist chinese using slightly modified common cold to force equally deadly and infecting vaccines to spread the virus more, to make more billions dollors in vaccines same time depopulate billions to save planet from so called global warming ? and we indians including, doctors, politicians, administration blindly assisting them in their crime against humanity?

Real Covid deaths may be 2 % of the total infected but This RTPCR test detects all coronaviruses, common cold, flu and lab created covid 19 as covid 19. Elites using these number to force live virus vaccine to further increase infections thereby rake billions in vaccine business, same time reduce population for their reducing global warming project. Bill gates had claimed with vaccines 15% population can be reduced to bring down so called global warming in his Ted Talks.....Following part of an article on newstarget "The CDC admits that PCR tests can’t differentiate between Coronaviruses.... let that sink in... that means that for the past year and a half colds and the flu have been diagnosed as Covid." Ref: https://www.newstarget.com/2021-07-30-pcr-tests-cannot-differentiate-between-coronaviruses.html

Lockdown will be an absolute waste. Why would you impose the same thing that was unsucessful so many time. Just discpline the crowd to follow the rules amd quarantine if needed . Life must go on , or else brace for another economic crisis

Yes.Absolutely correct.Lockdown is absolutely waste.Lockdown will not end the pandemic.Lockdown will reduce the cases in some extent. In many other countries,4 to 5 lockdowns were imposed, but still cases are increasing and also new covid waves are coming...Hence lockdown is waste.See in England,They have done 6 months lockdown, but still cases are increasing from 30k to 50k.In france 3 months was imposed, but still cases are increasing and new wave coming.Same in Italy Spain and Russia also

Instead of Locking the entire district, please ensure movement of people at district /state borders. Stick to containment zones at local levels. Lockdown should be implemented at taluk levels where the positivity rate is more.
