Not concerned with TN BJP chief Annamalai's fast over Mekedatu: Bommai

New Delhi, Jul 31 (IANS): Reacting on Tamil Nadu state BJP state President K. Annamalai's announcement of fasting opposing the implementation of Mekedatu project, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said on Saturday that he is not concerned about it.

"I am only concerned over implementation of the Mekedatu project. Annamalai is fasting or not, it is none of my concern. We have rights over the water. Our share has been allocated. We have already prepared a detailed project report on Mekedatu. After getting approvals, we will surely begin the Mekedatu project. There is no question of second thought on that, no matter who sits on fasting," Bommai stated.

Tamil Nadu BJP President K. Annamalai, a former IPS officer, who attained star status while working as an IPS officer in Karnataka announced that he will sit on hunger strike opposing Karnataka government's plans to start work of Mekedatu project on August 5.

Meanwhile, various organizations who commended K. Annamalai's work in Karnataka as a senior police officer and took to streets whenever he was transferred, have now called for protest against him over his statement on the Mekedatu project.

In Karnataka we already have a BJP government, which is doing a very good job. In Tamilnadu, the chances of BJP forming a government is very very very far. for that reason, central BJP government should ask the Annamali to stop all these drama and ask the Karnataka CM to go ahead with the plans!

In Karnataka we already have a BJP government, which is doing a very good job. Kannadigas will not sway towards any other party for next 15 to 20 years. In Tamilnadu, BJP has a fair chance to get the reigns provided the Tamil people are wooed cautiously. For that reason, central BJP government should ask the Karnataka CM to hold the project.

When it is BJP Vs BJP then it’s a super drama. Both Chor and Chowkidar hand-in-glove like WWE wrestling match. For plain eyes it looks both are fighting for the people but actually politicians are the ultimate winners and we ordinary citizens are losers in both sides bankrupt watching this contest.

Stage is set for a mega drama+master plan by BJP In some days Karnataka govt might announce that Mekedatu project is on hold or cancelled due to protest from Annamalai. Annamalai will raise his political stature in TN there by increasing the vote share of BJP. Our Karnataka people will continue voting for BJP on caste and communal grounds. Win win situation for BJP. Loss only for Karnataka.

Exactly, this is the game plan to gain votes for BJP in Tamilnadu by culling karnatakas interest. Gujratis are hell bent to distroy karnataka by hook or crook and our bjp representatives whole heartedly supporting .

Annamalai wants to gain importance because of the shameful defeat of BJP in TN elections. Annamalai has become almost insignificant to nothing in the TN political arena. Mekedatu project was approved long back during Siddu's term as CM of Karnataka, and it will proceed with full force, with or without Bommai as well. Bommai should extend full support to flood victims in Uttara Kannada, without mixing politics as reported in the media. He should be fast and accurate to bring out the best cabinet ministers, leaving behind those from the Yeddy gang. People had given too much importance to Annamalai, who turned his back against Karnataka, in spite of all of his successful career here. Another person who did the same is one cine star called Rajanikanth. Annamali will continue to do these cheap stunts to remain in the lime light, even though no one takes note of him since last elections. Jai Hind.

Why aren't Karnataka BJP leaders too on fast ? Against Mahadei ? Common people of Karnataka, if a BJP representative from TN can fight for his state, why Kannadiga BJP members are bedbugs ? Why did you guys vote for such a party ?

Instead of fooling people, if he really opposes this project he should quit BJP and go over TN informing people not to vote BJP anymore. I am sure people already know fasting is only drama by him.
