Bengaluru, Jul 31: The BJP high command is mulling over not including ministers who are accused of involvement in sleaze CD cases. This has made the MLAs who are involved in such cases losing the cabinet berth. However, there is also a rumour in the state BJP circles that it is difficult to form a cabinet without such tainted ministers.
As the sleaze CD case of former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi came to light, some migrants, who were ministers in the Yediyurappa cabinet, approached the court and brought a stay on the media not to publish derogatory articles on them. In addition, some root BJP MLAs and ministers had approached court and got a stay on the media publishing derogatory content about them for various reasons.
This development had embarrassed BJP at national level. In the midst of this, it is said that RSS leaders have suggested not to give opportunity to MLAs who are involved in sleaze CD cases. At the same time, it is also said that most of the migrant MLAs have got stay from the court and it would be difficult to form a cabinet without them.
Former minister, MLA of Honnali and an aspirant for the minister position M P Renukacharya approached the court to grant stay on publishing any kind of derogatory news, pictures or videos on him. The civil and sessions court which has upheld his appeal had granted stay to the media houses.
