Dharwad, Jul 30: Former chief minister Jagadish Shettar, who on Wednesday, had announced his decision not to be a part of Basavaraj Bommai-led ministry, repeated his stand on the issue on Thursday July 29.
Speaking to media persons after meeting leaders at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh office at Hubballi, he expressed the feeling of unhappiness he is undergoing on the issue of joining the state cabinet.

"I cannot continue when my self-esteem is hurt. How can I shelve my self-respect and join the cabinet? I too have morality and self-respect. I am just a legislator, but without becoming a minister, one can undertake development. I will prove myself by achieving development," Shettar stated.
