CM Bommai visits Hubballi, pays homage to Samadhi of parents

Bengaluru, Jul 29: In the first tour away from Bengaluru after assuming office, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai visited the Samadhi of his parents, father S R Bommai and mother Gangamma Bommai, at Amaragola in Hubballi on Thursday.

He also offered special pujas at the Samadhi. The Chief Minister also garlanded the statues of his parents after going round the Samadhis.

“I have come here to seek the blessings of my parents,’’ he told reporters who met him in Hubballi.

Legislator Amrut Desai, former MLA Shivaram Hebbar, State Silk Marketing Board Chaiperson Savitha Amarasetty, Dharwad KCC Bank President Mallikarjuna Horakeri and other family members accompanied the Chief Minister.

Before leaving from his residence in Bengaluru for the visit to Hubballi and later to Karwar for inspecting the flood situation in Uttara Kannada district, Bommai called on former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa in his residence.

State Legislative Council Chairman Basavaraj Horatti called on the Chief Minister at his residence in Bengaluru in the morning and offered him bouquets of flowers.

The Chief Minister proceeded to Karwar from Hubballi for the inspection of the flood-hit areas.

    Jossey S Nellasopara,the bond between the parents and children is always there whether one is dead or alive.One Feels it when you see here .Certainly they will bless him from above even cant see.He never forgot his parents and thatswhy came to their Samadhi.
