Mangaluru: POSCO case filed against police constable, arrested

Mangaluru, Jul 28: A Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) case is filed against a police constable. He stands arrested at the moment.

A POCSO case was filed earlier in January against an auto-rickshaw driver who was harassing a minor girl. In this regard, a constable from the station, collected the phone number of the girl and started messaging her in an inappropriate way.

The family of the girl approached Child Welfare Committee. A case was filed at the women’s police station against the constable.

Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar informed that the accused police constable has been arrested.

    time and again it is proved that police are the worst throughout the world and more so in third world countries like India.. In India they just wait for opportunity to make money or sexually harass once the victim is in their touch. They exploit the sex workers regularly in police stations and the poor women cannot say anything.. This constable should be hung upside down and shot at the right position

    How a Police person can come down to this cheap and mean ways ?What about the riksha driver?Was only a shield to Police man?Police are supposed to protect public from these crimes.Now they themselves are involved direct.He should be kicked out and a case should be filed.when normal citizens are punished for such things,Police man also should be too not retained back.In front of law everyone is same .

    If not Inspector, SI, ASI, SHO and head constable now turn of constables . All corrupt from top to bottom. What a disgrace to the shameless department. Supposed to protect people, now turns to be a tormentor.
