Kundapur: 60-year-old on bicycle dies after speeding car hits him

Kundapur, Jul 28: A 60-year-old man who was on a bicycle died, after a speeding car rammed into his bicycle near Jaladi on national highway on Wednesday July 28.

The victim is identified as Rama Kulal, a resident of Santhosh Nagar in Hemmadi.

The accident took place when Rama Kulal was travelling to Tallur from Hemmadi. As Kulal turned left from the divider, a car plying from Byndoor to Kundapur rammed into it. As a result, Kulal was thrown onto the road. He suffered severe injuries to his head and legs.

Though ambulance driver Ibrahim Gangolli rushed to the spot and tried to shift Kulal to the hospital, he breathed his last.

Kulal is survived by wife, son and two daughters.
