Bengaluru: Government bars diversion of Muzrai funds to other religious centres

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 27: The state government, in tune with an issue pursued by minister for Hindu religious endowments (Muzrai) department, Kota Srinivas Poojary, on Monday July 26, issued an official order barring diversion of funds from the Hindu religious endowments department and temples to other religious prayer centres.

Relating to a debate on the issue of re-rerouting temple and Muzrai funds to prayer centres of other religions, the government has taken a final decision. As per an order issued on Monday, the government has withheld grants that were being given from the religious endowments department to other 111 prayer centres belonging to other faiths by way of annual maintenance. These centres were getting funds as compensation under the Inam Abolition Act of 1977.

Henceforth, the annual allowance to these centres will be disbursed through the minorities’ welfare, Haj and Wakf department.

You nailed it Alpha Planet....The so called bhakts who are talking about begging are the same people who go to muslim countries and work under muslims feeding their family back home. They are very friendly and appreciating with muslims in gulf countries and when they come back, the original bhakt comes out..

There is no big or small amongst beggars.. Those who got benefited from Hundi money that was meant for hindus, are beggars only.. LOL But i like the way these jokers try hard to claim that west and gulf is their actual home land not India. what a low life.

Working under someone is begging???? Hindus go worldwide for work and discharge their duty- and earn the salary. Also they make business and earn their income. Doing business and earning by salary is not considered as begging by any religious books...

Very clever arguement. Mr Kota Srinivas Poojary can you confirm how much amout did Muzrai department spend on tasdik for non-Hindu religious institutions? Zero! Out of the 26,666 religious institutions that got tasdik from Endowment Dept, only 764 were non-Hindu institutions. State started tasdik grants to compensate the religious institutions that had lost their Inam lands when land reforms were implemented in the State. They included temples, mosques and churches. However this grant came from the Revenue Department and not Muzrai department. It was just routed through Muzrai Department for administrative purpose. The money accruing from collection or revenue of the temple was never given as tasdik or given to non-Hindu religious institutions, as the Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act, 1997, does not allow it. Whatever non-Hindu religious institutions got in grants was from revenue department. But the RSS and BJP cleverly diverted this issue for their vote bank and to please the bhakts.

Cutting the long story short, dynasty slaves are trying hard to spread lie that temple money never went outside of Hndu community.. I am amazxed at the way slaves say it was never given.. LOL The recommendation of the Hindu Religious Endowments Commission headed by C P Ramaswamy Aiyer in 1960 says that Hindu temples and maths be considered as belonging to the public. That excuse was used by the varous govt to divert temple fund for so long. .alas, slaves slaves compulsion to deny..

I think minorities don't need charity. I think most important requirement of minorities is the minority MPs, MLAs, top, medium & low grade government officials,& judges in the court , according to the percentage of their population in our country & all states. Of course ,only efficient persons from the minorities should be selected. If this is done, I think each & every minority will feel this is best charity.

Remember my friends if not the Gulf and the West we would have been finished with out oxygen. who begged whom all have forgotten. The highest foreign funds flow to majority trusts. What may be temple, mosque or church fund if it can not be used by the needy. certainly God may not be pleased with such baktha and may not want that money. What a shame that we become more and more like touch me not plants. Covid is still teaching us a lesson.

Wow.. so the beggars have become choosers? LOL Govt gets religious money only from temples, show me how much you have contributed as religions money to the exchequer? If you have not given a penny of religious money to the govt exchequer what right you have to abuse the giver? grow up and get some fundamentals, before abusing those who helped you albeit quietly for so many years via temple hundi

Congratulations to the Ruling Party on this decision. You have always succeeded in diving our Society over religion and this is one step ahead for this. This will only bring imbalance and unrest and that un-easiness among religions, in our society and nothing else. While we are all Indians, who have every right to live, let live, preach and practice our religion, openly supporting one religion and sidelining others is not a good sign of Healthy Democracy is my feeling. To those who are criticizing minorities on this platform, please note, when Govt is giving any scheme to anybody who is eligible, making use of it is our Right. And after all, mind you, this so called Govt funds is also Tax Payers' Money contributed by every tax payer of this country, irrespective of his or her Religion.

Why should anyone expect funds from others for their religious center? As per our Ten commandments, it's sin to desire what belongs to others! Everyone must strive to be self reliant and suffer if it's their fate and overcome to the extent possible. Only in extreme circumstances and natural calamities for survival may seek help. Most important virtue of this universe is to teach and encourage every Individual and community to lead a self reliant and sustainable life.

Recent video of Zakir Naik on Pakistan Hindu Temple construction.... He clearly said that in Islam it is not permissible to give money to other religions to build their place of worship under Islamic Country. He even said that other faith prayer centres can be destroyed He even justified the Hindu temple demolition in Khyber area of Pakistan. He clearly said it's SHIRK... and it's HARAM For all above he justified by quoting the BOOK... My question now is What about the subsidy provided by Govt for Haj ( earlier) ... To build mosques... To Shaadi centres... Scholarship.... Imam salary... Bcoz this money comes from alcohol tax, other faith people's tax... Etc
