Gadag, Jul 26: Leader of opposition and former CM Siddaramaiah said that Yediyurappa is the most corrupt chief minister (CM) the state has seen in its history. By his resignation or by appointing someone else as CM, Karnataka will not prosper.
Siddaramaiah, who spoke to the scribes, further said, “BJP itself is a totally corrupt party. If they are not removed from power, Karnataka will not have ‘Mukti’ (salvation). Yediyurappa is the most corrupt CM the state has ever seen. Any other BJP member who is appointed as the next CM will be corrupt as the whole party stinks of corruption.”
To the issue of probable next CM, Siddaramaiah said, “Am I the president of BJP? This matter is the internal issue of BJP.”
Reacting on the matter of Swamijis of Lingayat community supporting Yediyurappa, Siddaramaiah said, “It is better for Swamijis not to interfere in politics. They should limit themselves to the religious field. Even if a new CM is appointed, our fight to bring the corruption of BJP in the open will continue. I do not know the state of Congress migrants in BJP. People will teach a lesson to them in the next assembly elections.”
