Dhaka, Sep 15 (IANS) A four-nation car rally that will begin from Kunming in China and end at Kolkata in India will be flagged off next year to promote connectivity and communication in the region.
The route has already been finalised. It will cover Dhaka and Sylhet in Bangladesh before ending in India, Bangladesh Communications Minister Syed Abul Hossain said here Tuesday.
He chaired a meeting that was attended by a delegation from Yunnan province of China, led by Mi Dongsheng, director general of Development and Reformed Commission of the province, UNB news agency reported.
Speakers at the meeting emphasised development of regional communication, particularly on rail and road links between Bangladesh and China via Myanmar, The Daily Star said.
