Moodbidri, Jul 17: Aswhathpura Srinivas Gowda, popularly known with the name of 'Usain Bolt of Kambala', and who has won the 'Karnataka Kreeda Ratna' award, received a phone call on his mobile phone. The caller reportedly posed a threat to him and derided him. The recording of this call has become viral in social media.
The caller is heard saying that he is Prashanth Bangera, associated with Sri Ram Sene. He invited Gowda to a real estate office at car street Mangaluru, where the caller offered to tell Gowda the history of Kambala. Gowda responded by expressing his inability to visit Mangaluru, and instead, invited the caller to Ontikatte here. "l will come. But when you arrive there, you will have to shield your back with areca sheets. You also will need some supporters," Prashanth is heard threateningly saying in a bullish tone. This conversation has been widely shared on social media.
Srinivas Gowda
Srinivas Gowda has filed complaint against the accused in Moodbidri station. The police then summoned the accused to be present for questioning.
MLA Umanath Kotian, who condemned the incident, felt that this is an insult meted out to Tulunadu. He said he would be instructing the police to take suitable legal action against the accused Prashanth. Former minister Abhayachandra Jain too condemned the incident.
