Panaji: P S Sreedharan Pillai is now full-time governor of Goa

Panaji, Jul 7: President Ramnath Kovind on Tuesday appointed P S Sreedharan Pillai as governor of Goa. Pillai served as governor of Mizoram. Pillai also worked as state president of Bharatiya Janata Party of Kerala state.

After Pillai was appointed as the governor of Goa, after almost a year. Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari was additional charge of Goa, after the last full-time governor, Satya Pal Malik was transferred to Meghalaya.

When Malik was governor of Goa, he was proactive and outspoken and openly expressed about relevant issues including the mishandling of the Covid-19 crisis in the state, during the first wave. Malik had also warned chief minister Pramod Sawant.
