Mangaluru, Jul 5: After more than two months of strict lockdown, the state government announced Unlock 3.0 from July 5 to July 19. With this, life returned to normalcy in the district.
Vehicles piled up at traffic junctions and busy intersections across the heart of the city.
As per the orders of deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra, there will be no separate guidelines for the district and guidelines issued by the state government will be followed.
There are more relaxations in Unlock 3.0 and all activities are allowed up to 9 pm. Curfew will be in place from 9 pm to 5 am. In addition, places of worship are also allowed to open with temples allowing on Darshan but no services. Malls are also opened. Buses also can operate till 9 pm. As development works are under progress in the city and roads are dug, heavy traffic congestion is witnessed in the city.
However, movie theatres, schools and colleges are shut until further orders.
