Beltangady, Sep 6: The members of Mumbai-based Seva Bhaarati Committee met Dr Veeredra Heggade, the dharmadhikari of Dharmastala on Sunday September 5 and invited him to the chief guest of a programme to be held to mark their Silver Jubilee Celebrations.
Accepting the invitation Heggade said that in the competitive world social service is almost fading away but the trusts like Seva Bhaarati are striving hard to serve the society and build awareness about the rich tradition of Tulunadu in the metro.
Seva Bhaarati president Jaya K Shetty gave a brief report of their activities and informed about the website sevabhaarati.brinkster.net.
Vice-president Dharmapal U Devadiga and Sujatha Dharmapal and the office-bearers of Seva Bhaarati felicitated Heggade. The committee consisted of vice-president Sudhakar R Shetty, honorary secretary Bhaskar A Shetty, Sadashiva B Shetty, Vishwanath N Shetty and Pavan Devadiga among others.
