Noted Kannada Science writer Sudhindra Haldodderi passes away

Bengaluru, Jul 2: Noted science writer in Kannada Sudhindra Haldodderi, who worked as a scientist at the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) and also as engineer at the public sector HAL, passed away in Bengaluru on Friday. He was 59.

Sudhindra Haldodderi suffered heart attack a week back and was declared brain dead this afternoon.

He used to write science columns in several Kannada dailies.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, in his condolence message to the bereaved family, has described Sudhindra Haldodderi as one of the few Kannada writers who had excelled in science writing in Kannada and enable even ordinary people to understand the developments in the scientific world.

The family of the deceased Kannada writer has decided to donate his body and organs to Bengaluru Medical College as he was declared brain dead due to stoppage of oxygen supply to the brain.

    Deeply sorry to see one of our noted Kannada Science Writer passing away, at a such early age, deciding to donate some of his organs to the Bangaluru Medical College. A noble thought as such. There is no word of comfort that one can think of giving to the bereaved family members. However, we the persons who have known him for some time are surely very sad to lose him. Praying the Almighty to give him Eternal Rest in His Heavenly Abode for ever !

    O my God this is shocking. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Heart attack and brain dead both unpredictable. Great loss to scientific world. His articles were very simple to read. Condolences to his bereaved family.
