Bengaluru, Jul 2: Noted science writer in Kannada Sudhindra Haldodderi, who worked as a scientist at the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) and also as engineer at the public sector HAL, passed away in Bengaluru on Friday. He was 59.
Sudhindra Haldodderi suffered heart attack a week back and was declared brain dead this afternoon.
He used to write science columns in several Kannada dailies.
Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, in his condolence message to the bereaved family, has described Sudhindra Haldodderi as one of the few Kannada writers who had excelled in science writing in Kannada and enable even ordinary people to understand the developments in the scientific world.
The family of the deceased Kannada writer has decided to donate his body and organs to Bengaluru Medical College as he was declared brain dead due to stoppage of oxygen supply to the brain.
