Mangaluru, Jul 2: In an incident that came to light on the morning of Friday July 2, at Mukkacheri under Ullal police station limits, window glasses of a parked ambulance were broken and equipment inside the vehicle stolen by miscreants.
This ambulance is owned by Gangadhar a resident of the city who runs Sri Ganesh ambulance service and is driven by Rahim, a resident of Mukkacheri. Rahim had parked the ambulance near his house at around 8.30 pm on Thursday, July 1. When he came towards the ambulance in the morning of Friday, the act of miscreants came to light.
The miscreants have broken all the glasses of the ambulance and stolen siren amplifier, oxygen regulator and PPE kits. A case in this connection is registered at Ullal police station.
In a video that is created by Pacchu, son of owner of ambulance Gangadhar, and seen on social sites, he says, “Sri Ganesh ambulance is in the service of corona-affected patients throughout the district 24x7. The final rites of most of the people who died of Covid in Wenlock hospital is done through the help of Sri Ganesh ambulance. In this difficult time, those who have damaged a vehicle that is used for the service of patients, will definitely do the same with other vehicles also.”
