Bengaluru, Jun 30: Former minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi, currently caught in a bind over sleaze CD involving him, suddenly left for Delhi. He indicated that he was in Delhi to meet the BJP top brass.
Reacting to the media persons who approached him at the Delhi airport, Jarkiholi expressed anguish at three unnamed BJP leaders who he said, had inflicted injustice to him. He warned that those who meddled with him will face the consequences.
He said he received a call from Delhi on Tuesday and that he was in Delhi as per an invitation. He assured them to reveal the names of the leaders whom he would meet, later. He also asserted that there is no question of resigning from the BJP and that he had not been let down by Yediyurappa.
Jarkiholi met BJP national organizing secretary, B L Santhosh, at Delhi and held discussions. His brother, Balachandra Jarkiholi, is also in Delhi. It is said that he too is pressurizing the party leaders to include Ramesh Jarkiholi back in the state ministry.
It is said that Jarkiholi is agreeable for an alternative arrangement if he cannot be accommodated in the ministry immediately. He has suggested to the leaders to make him the Karnataka Milk Federation chairman in place of Balachandra Jarkiholi, and include Balachandra in the ministry.
At the same time, BJP MLA Arvind Bellad, who has reportedly been making efforts to corner an important position, also went to Delhi. Sources however said he has decided to keep the details of his visit a secret.
