Travel restrictions eased for passengers from India to Dubai

Dubai, Jun 19: A revision in procedures for travellers coming from India is announced by authorities in Dubai. The changes will go into effect from June 23.

Residents who have received two doses of UAE-approved vaccines will be permitted to enter the city.

All travellers except UAE citizens, are also required to present a negative Covid-19 test result taken within 48 hours before departure. PCR test with QR code only will be accepted.

Rapid PCR test four hours prior to flight departure is mandatory for all passengers and also a PCR test on arrival at Dubai airport.

Institutional quarantine is mandatory for all passengers except UAE citizens and diplomats, until they receive their PCR test result which is expected within 24 hours.

    Please refer to Gulf News or Khaleej Times to know travel criteria properly. Only those who have finished 2nd dose of the Covid19 Vaccine approved by the UAE government are permitted to travel. UAE government has approved only 4 Vaccines. Pfizer, Sinopharm, Sputnik and Astra Zeneca.

    Finally some good news for the people who are stranded here. I would like to know what about the people who have already got their visit visa.? When can they travel, and if they can travel what about the vaccination. Please can you confirm on the same.

    Good decision by authorities in Dubai as travel restrictions has been eased for passengers from India to Dubai. Many Indian workers with valid visas and working for many years have been held up due to some reason or the other. I too had planned to go to New York with my wife but were held up due to Covid-19. We don't need a visa for UAE as we are OCI cardholders and we have travelled many times. Also, I had worked in Dubai for many years and then migrated to the USA. I liked Dubai and that is why we always made our trip to India via Dubai.
