Bengaluru, Jun 14: The state government has taken a crucial decision of giving a compensation of Rs one lac each to the families of people, who were earning members of the family, and died of Covid. This scheme is limited only to BPL card holders.

Giving details of the scheme on Monday June 14, chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa said, “The state government has set aside a package of Rs 250 crore to Rs 300 crore for providing compensation to the families of earning members who died due to Covid. This is the first of this kind of scheme that is introduced in the whole country.

“Hundreds of families are badly affected financially due to the death of earning members of the family who have succumbed to dreaded Covid. Many families are devastated. Taking into consideration the plight of such families, the state government will provide Rs one lac financial assistance, if the earning member of such families have succumbed to Covid. This will be applicable to only BPL card holder families. There are 25 to 30, 000 such families in the state.

So BPL card holder are poor human beings for their death there is value but APL card holdee rich but no value for his death. There are so many rich who hold BPL card with terace house ,4 wheeler vehicle with someone working in gulf countries. Never judge person life based on APL/BPL card. Every person life is valuable for their family
