Bengaluru, Jun 12: Explosive information of Ibrahim Pullatty, who is arrested in connection with the accusation of converting international calls into local calls, having hundreds of Pakistani customers has come to light during the interrogation. The investigating agencies have suspected that there is a possibility that one of these Pakistani customers must have made call to the military unit of eastern India.
Accused Ibrahim, who was active in this illegal business in the capital city, has recruited accomplices in Pakistan also. Through them he has hundreds of Pakistanis as customers.

According to the sources of investigating agencies, Ibrahim has more than 600 Pakistani customers, who used to call their relatives and friends in India through him. The cost of international call was reduced considerably through this method. The customers had to pay a specified amount to the accused for the service provided. However, Ibrahim used to get this money from his accomplices in Pakistan through Hawala.
Ibrahim, who is carrying out this illegal trade since one and a half years, does not have the details of his customers. He did not even bother to collect their personal data. More information needs to be collected from the 960 SIM cards and SIM box that is confiscated from him. Sources also informed that the accused used to conduct hawala business from the money which he amassed though this illegal trade.
It is also learnt that Ibrahim has not only used SIM cards of Karnataka, but also has procured them from the neighbouring states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. According to sources most of the SIM cards are from his native place of Malappuram in Kerala.
There is a possibility that one or some of the Pakistani customers of Ibrahim might have called the Eastern command of India in the guise of intelligence officer of Pakistan. However, clear information is not available as to who the person was and what the reason for the call was. Sources said that investigation is on.
