It is a very sad day as we lost a famad Konkani scholar, Ravindra Kelekar. He worked very hard to promote Konkani as I still remember working with him for 11th All India Konkani Sahitya Parishad held in Mangalore. May his soul rest in peace and may God Almighty give enough strength to his loved ones and family members to bear this loss.

Ravindra Kelekar's demise closes a chapter in Konkani literature. It is an irrepairable loss for the writers' community. His humility and simplicity stand great examples of his being a follower of Gandhian principles. His 'Mahabharat' is a scholarly work.
