Bengaluru: BSY, DCM in World Environment Day celebrations

Bengaluru, Jun 5: Both Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Deputy Chief Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan participated in separate World Environment Day Celebrations in Bengaluru on Saturday.

Chief Minister Yediyurappa participated in a tree planting programme at his Official Residence, Cauvery, in the presence of Karnataka’s Special Representative in Delhi Shankaragouda Patil and BJP MP S Muniswamy.

Dr Ashwath Narayan, who is also the State’s Higher Education Minister, planted a sapling in the MV Layout Welfare Association Park his own assembly constituency of Malleswaram.

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials and local BJP leaders joined him in the World Environment Day celebrations.
