Mangaluru, Jun 4: Youth Congress Suhail Kandak was taken into custody by the city police as per a complaint filed against him by a private hospital of the city accusing him of pressurizing the hospital to release the mortal remains of a person who died due to Covid without paying the hospital bill amounting to Rs ten lac.

A private hospital in the city had pressurized the relatives of a person who had died of Covid infection to pay the bill amounting to Rs ten lac and refused to hand over the mortal remains. It is alleged by the private hospital that Suhail Kandak had appealed to the hospital authorities to release the mortal remains.

Youth Congress leader Suhail Kandak accused that BJP leaders are behind his arrest as they cannot bear the pro-people work done by the Congress party during the difficult time of Covid second wave. Suhail Kandak said, “BJP is continuing its atrocities on the workers of Congress party as it is not able to tolerate the people-friendly works done by the Congress party. Congress is going to protest against this high-handedness of BJP. Congress workers are not going to bend in front of the conspiracy of BJP.”

Congress leaders and workers gathered in front of the city police station where Suhail Kandak is held at present by the police.
