Mangaluru, Jun 4: MLA U T Khader said that the government has to maintain transparency in vaccination.
Addressing media here on Friday June 4, Khader said, “If it was not possible for the state and central government to provide vaccines, they could at least share information pertaining to vaccines such as its manufacturing, beneficiaries and its supply. Why create confusion among people on vaccination? The government should maintain transparency in this issue.
“We have started a campaign Speak up India’ which is regarding guaranteeing vaccines to a crore people a day and ensure free vaccination to every citizen. We have appealed to the governor through the deputy commissioner. We are the voice of the people in Dakshina Kannada.
“The Tauktae cyclone has damaged many houses in the coastal belt and the government has not shown any concern and released funds for the same. We demand immediate relief. There are many houses on the edge of the sea which are in danger zone. The government has not conducted any meeting to undertake any measures for such houses which are in danger zone.
“The government has created confusion in exams. While the SSLC exams are scheduled to be held, the second PU exams are cancelled. The government should clarify regarding examinations,” he said.
District Congress president Harish Kumar, former MLA Abhayachandra Jain and others were present.
