Udupi, May 24: The programme 'Vaidyara Nade Halligala Kade' to contain the spread of Covid-19 in rural areas and to create awareness among rural people will start from Tuesday, May 25, said deputy commissioner G Jagadeesh.
During the occasion, the medical staff will visit door to door and will hold Covid test for the villagers.
Speaking to officials in regard to the programme, the DC said, "The doctors and staff of 59 primary health centres and community health centres across 155 gram panchayats should visit the houses in their area limits and conduct tests for the patients with symptoms through Rapid Antigen Tests. If any individual is found positive for Covid-19, a decision on the basis of their symptoms should be made on whether to admit them to the hospital, Covid Care Center or to the isolation centre. Awareness should be also created among patients regarding Covid-19. Medical kits should provide medical kits to the infected."
